Flexible injection moulding compounds
FLEXIBLE INJECTION MOULDING COMPOUNDS
Today, there is virtually no industry where plastics of some kind are not used. Medical sciences, electronic engineering, electrical engineering, home appliances, aerospace, automotive, and many other industries use parts made of plastic in their designs. They are much cheaper than their counterparts made of other materials, more durable, and very easy to process, and they offer unlimited application possibilities.
Molding and injection granulates
Injection molding is one of the most commonly chosen methods for processing granulate to make plastic products. It involves injection of a soft material into a mold by an injection molding machine. This way, a molded piece is made.
First, the injection granulate is heated until it becomes liquid. A cylinder-shaped machine then injects the soft plastic into the mold where it is cooled down to the proper temperature. Finally, the mold is opened and the finished piece is removed.
Due to good flow properties flexible injection moulding compounds are recommended for using mainly with the injection technology. They are also ideal for manufacturing articles, using the extrusion technology. They are used for manufacturing durable and aesthetic elements, as well as products of high resistance to outdoor factors (e.g. frost-resistant).

The main advantage of the method that uses injection granulate is its versatility.
The presented materials are used, among others, for manufacturing:
- working and water-resistant shoes;
- articles for automotive industry (gearbox covers, line covers, etc.);
- o-ring seals;
- miscellaneous fancy goods;
- household articles (soap dishes, suction cups for hooks).
A lot of popular and commonly used items could be made by injection molding.
Another benefit of this method is that it enables production of parts with consistent, repeatable characteristics – such as shape or size – which is not possible for hand-formed objects. And when you add the large scale of the process, whole batches of identical items can be manufactured.
The standard offer presented does not cover the entire wide range of granulates and plastics that we manufacture and are able to offer. If you are interested in granulates other than those described above, please contact us by phone or e-mail. We will get to know your needs and will surely find an appropriate solution.
